I will write something about the Fantasy Basel 2015.
The fantasy basel occurred for the first time from 14.May till 16.May in, well you can guess it ;), Basel.
Fantasy Basel was something of everything and for the first time it was great. But they have to expand next year, because for the price it was a little bit to little. But they laid a pretty good base for next year!
I was curious, so I was there for all 3 days. As you can guess this three days were full with talking to friends and strangers, collecting impressions and taking picture…a lot of pictures ^^’.

Another way to shoot at the con is by placing the people on a white wall as you can see on the Evil Whitin Picture or you actually can go outside. A lot of cosplayer will be willed to go out side the hall to shoot and get some fresh air. Just ask them nicely ;)

Another good way to get some nice pictures at the convention is the parking garage! I guess I was in the garage as long as I was in the convention hall 8"D Mostly there is a floor without cars and often you have your silence and the cosplayer can focus on you and you can focus on the cosplayer.

I tried some new stuff, like other perspectives and playing around with the reflector and the flash. The only problem was that the hall isn’t near a beautiful park or something similar. So I had to become creative 8’D

One of the posibilitis is to use the location, where the convention is take place as you can see in the pictures above. In one hall there was this blue light, this gives the picture an intressting look. When you are shooting in the con location it self, you can't play with the background, because it is often a ugly hall.

Speaking about "silence" and focusing on the photographer/cosplayer. There was one point that really grinds my gear 8D Other photographer that are taking pictures from cosplayer when they are eating, walking or even standing behind me and taking pictures from the cosplayer...PLEASE DON'T!!!!
Not even it is unpolite when you taking picture of a person without asking them it is also unpolite to interrupt a shooting and also a little bit of stealing...Because the cosplayer and photographer (who actually has the shooting) implement an idea into something real and it is the idea of the cosplayer and photographer and you are steeling it if you take a picture whitout asking and also interrupting a shooting is extreamly unpolite. It is often hard for the cosplayer to focus and hold the pose and the photographer also has to concentrate on the setting, the perspective and ofcourse on the cosplayer too.

But altogether I enjoyed the Fantasy Basel and really hope this exhibition/convention will happen again next year. Cause the
location is very central and we could need another convention with a great bandwidth
of fandoms :) Maybe next year I know some nice shooting location near by 8,D
